April's walk was welll - attended with 16 people including two visitors, two new members and two dogs. We walked along the old railway line at Zaffarya, a popular walk as it's flat and has magnificent views of the sierras, Lake Vinuela and the coast. It was particularly nice as there were a variety of wild flowers out and several members came armed with books and cameras so not only could identify the different species but also take photos too. Thanks to Patricia for suggesting it! There was also a narrow guage railway with a small passenger train running that day from the car park at the start of the walk to the village below which gave the walk a festive air.
As usual we had a good lunch in a nearby roadside restaurant afterwards.
To continue the flower theme, May's walk will be a little bit different as we are going to the Botanical Gardens in Malaga. This should be a pleasant stroll around the extensive park. If anyone would like to join us for this one, they are very welcome.
We'll meet at the entrance at 11.30 on Friday, May 22nd.
